Great place- Been there twice. Nice staff that speaks English. Great views from the mountain tops. Safe, clean, comfortable, friendly environment with delicious meals. Easy to access to UB and very near to the airport
Best for family trip- This was a good place to take my family. Our daughter and friend really enjoyed themselves. It was a central location and everyone was friendly. This was our first time at this resort and we would try this again
We enjoyed our one night stay at this beautiful facililty. The delux ger had restrooms attatched which included a nice hot shower. We were thrilled to have a few windows at the front of the ger. Our dinner at the restaurant had cream of chicken soup, a nice beef dish, in a beautiful setting.
This is our second ger camp in our ten day Mongolia trip. All the ger camps have centralized toilets and showers. This ger is large the one we stay can accommodate three persons. My son has huge feet all ger camps have slippers that are too small for him. We got a pair of felt slippers in the Karakorum museum. Next time we will bring our own crocs as slippers if we are going to stay in ger camp.
It is a beatiful gher camp, close to river and to Karkhorin Temples. Gher is very big, bed soft, bathroom good, hot water 24h/24h. They have a big relax area: we relaxed with gobi beer. Food was natural and good.
We had an ensuite ger for comfort. Unfortunately they made it a bit too hotel like by adding unnecessary furniture and a more modern but less efficient stove which destroyed the atmosphere a bit. It was the only place we got cold at night and the bed was a bit hard. Having said that the food was good and the staff were lovely, stoking the stove and bringing tea. They had a hair dryer to borrow as well. At first we were disappointed with the location but when the sun came out and we walked to the river it was possible to ignore the grubby town behind. Not sure of the value as booked by our agent.
The camp is nicely situated a bit out side of town, in a park like setting. Food was great! There was plenty of hot water for shower; and thongs in the shower to use. The bathroom was clean, but for the number of women, not enough stalls. But, that's a problem most everywhere!
From here, we visited the 108 Stupa Temple (Erdene Zu) which was huge complex, but very photo worthy. It was another place that said "no photos", but people were snapping pix without flash on the inside of the temples and no one said stop. This is active monastery, with monks praying / chanting in one of the buildings. The shopping stalls on the outside were great for souvenirs. The Kharkhorin Museum that is close by was fascinating - history of Mongolia; and artifacts from all ages.
I recently spent two night at the Minkh Tenger ger camp and enjoyed my stay. My ger was conveniently located and very comfortable. The food was very good. The central toilet and shower facilities were good. We went on a short walk from the camp to banks of the Orkhon river. The location allowed us to conveniently explore the village. Our departure was eventful, with a special ceremony.
