Horseback riding in Khentii province

Total 14 days of trip including 9 days on horseback. Usually 6 to 8 hours of riding. Assisting and carrying the luggage with 4x4. This equestrian trek is intended for persons practicing regularly riding and with similar practice at a level Galop 3-4 or riders with a mastery of 3 gaits (walk, trot, canter) varied terrain and completely autonomous horse. This trip is not suitable for novice riders. The program itinerary is given as indication suggestions. The steps can be changed on site due to weather, safety, organization, flight times or any unexpected event. In these difficult times, the local guide will do anything to mitigate the effects of these events beyond our control.

Day 1: Fly to Ulaanbaatar.
Fly to Ulaanbaatar.

Day 2: City tour in Ulaanbaatar.
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel. After rest for a while, visit the Gandan Monastery, the History Museum, Winter Palace of Bogd Khan, and Zaisan Hill. The monastery of Gandan, formerly known as the Gandan gompa is Buddhist Tibetan style. It was restored and from the 1990s and its original name can be translated as "Great place of complete joy”. It contains a statue of Megjid-Janraiseg (the bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara) 26.5 meters high. In 1994, he was placed under the control of the Mongolian State.
This temple is undeniably one of the highlights of this trip. The faithful and pilgrims make it their duty to feed the pigeons in the monastery and in thanks, they spattered the monuments of the sanctuary.

Day 3: Khentii Province and nomadic life
Departure to the village of Mungun Morit Baidlag the north of the Baganuur, there we meet our guides and first contact with our horses for a superb route. Cross the Kherlen River Bivouac

Day 4: Yudeg Valley
Here we experience wonderful nature of our country. Overnight near Yudeg river in tent.

Day 5: On the conqueror of Genghis Khan track.
Continue crossing the mountains of Tsagaan Davaa to Khar Zurkhnii Khukh Nuur where Temujin was elected as "Great Khan" and called himself Genghis Khan. 6-7 hours riding. Bivouac

Day 6: North Ilenkh River
On the way to Khangal Lake, we stopover in north Ilenkh River. We reach the beautiful Khangal Lake Migratory Bird Sanctuary. Great traditional meal. Bivouac near the Ilenkh River. 6-7 h

Day 7: Baldan Bereeven Temple- Ulaan Ereg
Continue the adventure to the river Baruun Jargalant. Visit the monastery of Baldan Bereeven vestiges formerly significant in terms of art and culture. Bivouac. 4 to 5 hours riding.

Day 8: River Khurkh.
Head to river Khurkh from Ulaan Ereg. 6-7 hours on horse. Bivouac.

Day 9: Salbariin Cave.
Continuing south through the nomad camps along the Khurkh. Incidentally Salbariyn visit to the cave. Bivouac. 4 to 5 hours (25 km)

Day 10: Jargalant River
Bor Khurgiin Davaa where we have lunch Last westward ride day and another meeting with the nomads. Bivouac 6 to 7 hours (30km).

Day 11: Tsagaan Khudag
Head to Tsagaan Khudag, which is on the way to Kherlen River. Bivouac

Day 12: Kherlen River
This day will be our last day with local guide and horse. Overnight in tent.

Day: 13: Ulaanbaatar
Drive to Ulaanbaatar. Today we have free time for shopping, watch traditional performance and having dinner with team. Overnight in hotel

Day 14: Fly back
Fly back to home country
